VENUE Cae Mabon is a higly acclaimed Eco-Retreat centre located within a natural woodland close to Llyn Padarn in Snowdonia National Park. The centre has evolved organically over the last 20 years under the ownership of story-teller, Eric Maddern. At it's heart is a thatched Celtic Roundhouse with central open fire where the Kirtan performances will take place.
YOGA The flowing Vinyasa yoga asana practices will be accompanied by Sanskrit mantra music and will comprise an early morning warm-up before breakfast. Before lunch there will be a longer session including vinyasa yoga, pranayama, mantra chanting and meditation. There will be 2 sessions of physical yoga on Saturday and Sunday.
KIRTAN Kirtan enables those who may believe they cannot sing, to explore their voices within a non-judgemental group. It is a devotional style of singing which places more emphasis on the vibrational effects of sound on the body and mind rather than whether you can hold a note like Leona!
The majority of our chants will be ancient Sanskrit words and melodies which have been used for thousands of years for their healing and transformational effects. When experienced in a group setting, the effects can be magnified resulting in a euphoric feeling of inter-connectedness both with the group and the higher self or divine.
TEACHERS Justine is a qualified British Wheel of Yoga teacher with holistic style which blends philosophy and physical movements with music and breathing, she enjoys singing and is part of a Kirtan chanting group.

ACCOMODATION The accomodation at Cae Mabon has been described as 'hobbit-style' as each individually created residence utilises natural materials and ancient building techniques such as cob, straw bale and log hogans. This is not a 5* ensuite experience, more a chance to experience natural, environmentally friendly and sustainable surroundings. Each residence sleeps 3-4 people and although sheets and pillows are provided, you will need to bring either a duvet or sleeping bag and a pillow.
